VR game developer Thirdverse has finalized $11.29 million in investment

Based in San Francisco, California, Thirdverse, raised $3.3 million through a third-party share allotment facilitated by Nissei Capital Co., Ltd. and VeriServe Corporation. This latest funding, combined with the capital previously raised in November of the previous year, brings the total series D funding to approximately $11.29 million. When considering the funds amassed before the company’s division on May 1, the cumulative total funding reaches around $42 million. Looking ahead, Thirdverse aims to bolster its development teams and infrastructure to support its VR title “X8,” which officially launched on November 9, and the ongoing development of “SOUL COVENANT,” alongside the initiation of new projects.

Thirdverse’s U.S. studio introduced its VR multiplayer hero shooter title “X8” on November 9, 2023. The game is accessible through platforms such as the Meta Quest Store, Steam Store, and PICO Store. Within approximately two months of its release, “X8” achieved over 450,000 downloads worldwide. The company plans to unveil its VR dramatic action title “SOUL COVENANT,” which was announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2023, in early 2024.
