The Tilted Triple-White Forum 84 BAPE Low is gaining attention as a digital twin, merging technology and the metaverse. This collaboration signifies a bold step for both clothing brands.
Scheduled for release on August 22, 2023, a total of one hundred pairs of these sneakers will be made available. The collection is set for a limited edition launch, adding to its allure. The product, showcased in a pristine white design, is being positioned as a blank canvas for individuals to paint their own stories. However, the exclusivity of the color scheme is attained through an auction, adding a unique touch to this digital connection.
The concept of the digital twin is brought to life by Adidas /// Studio’s creative efforts. The NFT experience for the Adidas community has been enhanced through Adidas Collect, with previous experimentation in auction structures. The aim is to experiment and evolve within this historic journey.
A standout feature of these digital twins is their integration into the metaverse. Owners gain access to the ALTS avatar project by Adidas, allowing for an interoperable connection. Adidas hints that token holders might even transform their tokens into digital avatars, bridging the gap between fashion and virtual reality.
The auction, hosted by Adidas Collect, commences the entire process. Each NFT represents an individual shoe, making a hundred NFTs equivalent to a hundred pairs of sneakers. The auction necessitates obtaining a forum pass for participation. Holders can transfer the pass to others as a freely tradable ERC1155 NFT. Bidding starts at a minimum price of 0.3 ETH. The auction is set to conclude after 72 hours on August 25, 2023, at 4 pm CET, with no extension possible.
After the auction, digital twin holders can redeem their pairs through Adidas Collect on September 26, 2023. Physical pairs will be shipped in October.
